Modern EFI engines and propane/LPG

So what do modern cars use to meter/inject propane? The new fords for example can be ordered with propane. Converting a car/truck with a carb to propane is as easy as pie. What about standard efi? I was thinking just now, what if I ran two fuel maps on my megasquirt ECU, one for propane and one for gas, use propane most of the time, but leave all the gas hardware there incase I cant find a propane fill up.....

Ideas...Comments.....???

the computer does the metering.. remember an EFI the computer sends a signal to squirt fuel/gas or whatever.. so its relatively easy to do it.

Hmm.. I guess.

I guess in theory, it wouldn't be much different... the computer would know the injectors, so it just adjusts as necessary for the propane gas...

Shrug.

Hmm, kinda like the diesel guys burning vegtable oil and smelling like McDonalds at the tailpipe 😉
