Modern car interiors are disturbingly easy to clean, even cheap ones.

In my commuter car, I have cloth seats. Over the weekend, apparently I spilled a small bit of sugary liquid in my seat and didn't notice it. When I went to get in this morning, I saw the spot, and not having time, just got a towel from the house and covered it for the day. When I got home and pulled the towel off, the spot was completely gone, both visibly and to the touch. There was a sticky spot on the towel. I was impressed.

no. I just put the towel there and sat on it so I didn't get the stuff (red bull) on my pants on the way to work this morning.

obviously this depends on the vehicle. I've cleaned interiors of many vehicles, there are a handful of newer vehicles that have some liquid repellants that are sprayed onto the seats so I'd imagine your vehicle was one of them if what you say is true. Don't know enough specifics about your situation to comment on it.
