moderator need help catching a bad trader in our fourm i have his IP adress

Well i dont know how to go about tracking him down.. i tryed to ping him/her but there was no response, Yes it is a perminate IP i belive.
any help yould be kewl

Have you PM'd or e-mailed the Mods yet? That might get you a faster (and more good-natured) reply - I've found they answer pretty quickly, usually within a day or so, and for your problem, maybe they'll be even faster.

Either that, or post this in the Forum Issues group. They are really quick at responding to stuff posted in there.

Ah, gotcha. You're looking for help tracking down a bad trader from your forum that you think the AT mods might know here. I'm slow until I get about five cups of coffee in me. ;)

yeah im just hoping someone knoes what to do with a IP better than me.

maybe i need some sofware or a search engine or something

I've never been able to get much from an IP, other than the general area the person's posting from and what ISP they're using (and even that is iffy with all the proxies out there), and I've used a couple of different programs and IP search engines. Good luck!

like rr.com has the logs of everybody's dhcp. They can easily track an ip + date/time to a Modem Mac. then a modem mac to your records..

Earthlink dial-in's have ANI recorded on every phone call, you can't block this form of caller id. It can be easily searched...
