Moderator: Locked thread??

I am kinda new at these forums so forgive the ignorance...but why would my below thread "Crucial PC2100 IS *NOT* engineering OR loose...read..." have been locked?

Did I do something wrong or inappropriate? Checked the 'help' section but could not find answer...

you posted this in the "hot deals" forum. where as it should've been posted in the "off topic" or "general hardware forum". thats probably why your last thread got locked and why this thread will get locked.

This is the Hot Deal forum. So you are supposed to post only Hot Deals, such as X.com is selling Y at $Z.
