Perhaps it was in an older OS than MCE, but I could have sworn that there was a control to set the volume of the modem speaker. All that I could find was the on/off switch. If I'm not imagining it, where is it?

It's been a long time since I used a modem, but IIRC, in either Device Manager or Control Panel, there's a tab in the Modem properties and speaker volume is in there. IIRC, it's the same tab where you can set baud rate/transfer speed, etc. And I had a USR modem too.![]()
This is the second USR external that I have had, and I've had it about 2 years, and I never noticed that dial before. Thank you.Originally posted by: corkyg
I still keep my old USR Courier as a back up - the volume is a simple slide switch on the side. Yeah - external - I never would use an internal modem - they can't be turned off when not needed.
