Is any router good? I am going to try and buy a 2nd modem/router and see if I can run two in my house without the phone company getting mad at me. I have a $30 credit at best buy so I really wouldn't be out any money if I bought a $40 router.

You would have to have 2 mac addresses registered with their accounts at which time most likley you will be charged for 2 internet accounts [IE if you pay $40/month now you will be paying $80/month]. That6s the way we work it.
 
I think if you go to CompUSA you'll find a wide selection. What makes a wireless networking card good?

what type of interface do you need? In other words, do you want to plug the WLAN adapter into a USB port, or a PCI slot, PCIE slot.

I think you should clarify what your goal is!

It seems that you don't Not know the Difference between Modem/Router, Wireless Router, and a Wireless Router extending your Wireless while working as an Access Point.

If you have a computer that needs stronger signal, getting a an expensive Wireless card might Not solve your problem.
