my DSL modem/router often stops responding after being up for some time... sometimes it stops after ten minutes, sometimes after 2 days. Like this night, heck, it stops 4 times for every 20 minutes!!
If that happens, I have to turn it off and turn it back on and everything back to normal. weird.

anyone can help???

hi there..i had the EXACT same problem with my cable modem with a POS linksys wireless router. The connection would drop..hang the router and modem. Need to hard reset all of them before regaining connection. I tried a Dlink POS, same problem. Exept a lil better, the modem does not hang but the router will reduce my cable speed to <56K

i think the hanging is primarily caused by crappy routers and unstable hardware (router)

so after wasting tons of time troubleshooting, i gave up. Switched to a 3Com Wireless G router. All my problems are gone

A great many ISP's have been impacted with that recent worm. My isp dropped connection 2-6 times a day for the first few weeks, but has been getting better. It still is nowhere near the original reliability though.

thanks guys.
I found another possible reason for it; I read on a website that some routers can't handle too many connections, hence that will crash it.
oh well....
