Modem not seen on mobo

Hello...Ive just built an ABIT KG7 and AMD XP 1700 with DDR PC 2100 RAM and the internal Supra Max modem Ive installed is not seen using the WIN 98 diagnostics. I also am unable to install the SUPRA drivers for that 56K modem. How can I get this modem operational and what is the problem?

Is it listed in your device manager? Any yellow "?" or "!" Try moving it to another slot. Try letting windows detect it by using the "Add hardware" program in the control panel.
 
intricate45, what com port/irq does your modem want? Is it a PnP? You might try disabling com2 in your BIOS, as some boards won't recognize the modem unless the com port is disables.
