Due to living in a rural area I'm at the mercy of dialup. I've got a USR 5699b 56k/v.92 modem. Newest drivers, new phone line directly from my PC to the outside box. I can only manage 28.8 or 31200 connect rate. I've tinkered about much as a I can.

Here are the ATI6 commands:

Any ideas other than moving?? Does anyone know of a int string i can add? Anything??

How far are you out in a rural area? i checked with verizons site, it siad DSL was not available to me, i ordered it anyway, i dont get the full 1.5 but always better than half of it, i am 1 1/2 miles from the verizon building. Ill pay 29.00 a month to get 768 or so over what dialup gets

If there is more than one DtoA conversion between you and your ISP, 33.6 is the best you can hope for with a modem, besides which most phone companies only guarantee 14.4 or less...

Dialup? Man, I feel your pain. My whole town would burn down if anyone try to take away my broadband!!
