Modem Errors

Hi!

I have problems with my modem (USRobotics 56k Fax) since a few weeks. Under Win2k, if you click the connection symbol down (at the right side) of the taskbar, the modem shows errors, sometimes up to 200-300 at a longer session.

I've never had this errors before, and the most strange thing is that I don't get the errors under WinXP!!!

Please help (tried changing drivers/firmware) me to find out the reason for this errors.

"Put in NIC and take Cat5 from the NIC to the Cable modem. Then plug in your coaxial into the cable modem. Now just plug in the modem. Once you've done that get an ip address and a way you go."

Seriously though try removing the modem and reinstalling it. If your modem drivers came with a diagnostic test
run that. It should since it is a USR. I've had problems in the past with modems and sometimes the test will help. This is no guarantee. I'm sure some of the PC guru's here will chime in with other suggestions. Good Luck.
