modem dial and computer reset by itself

Greetings,

Everytime I dial up my modem, the computer would just reset by itself?

The system spec:
celerone 1ghz
asus tusl2
512mb sdram
motorolla modem
os is windows xp pro

I'm not using anything that's onboard, and they're all turned off in bios. yet the problem still continue.
This all happened after I switched a more powerful power supply (enermax 350w or something like that), and the system used to work flawlessly. What could've possibly cause this and what can I do to repair this problem?

um, put the old power supply back in?

try reinstalling the modem drivers. make sure you remove the modem first from the hardware manager.
if that don't work, remove the modem, boot computer, make sure nothing modem-esque is listed anywhere, put the card back in (maybe in a different slot...maybe those damn IRQ errors, though in this case, I don't know why that would be)...and *then* reinstall the drivers.

um...that's all i could think of right now, hope it helps.
