Modem crashes new system

Built a new computer: A8N-Premium, Opteron170, Raid 0 WD400's,Evga7800GT and a Creative PCI Modem. No problems until using the modem-sustem crashes.

Everytime. Device Manager shows modem okay and no conflicts but a possible problem with the com port(com3).

New at this so haven't a clue what to do. All settings seem to be the same as my existing machine. Device Manager doesn't show a com3 so I can't check to see if it is enables or showing a problem.

Anyone with any helpful ideas?
