What your talking about is a bit of a hot topic. Modifying means more than likely piracy...

Also, modding it means no XBL and a violation of warranty if it breaks.

I did not hit towards piracy in any way during my initial post.

I wasn't aware that you couldn't use XBL though. Is there no way around that at the moment?

Unless you think soldering 15 wires from a modchip or constantly removing your DVD drive to upgrade firmwares is easy.

You're going to be a good little boy and buy all your games, THEN burn them, and THEN play the burned DVD's for no tangible benefit. (b-_-)b

Only thing I can think of is burning them to preserve the original, but that's really not necessary. As long as you don't abuse the original disks should be fine.

And for you "modders" does modding still kill the ability to use XBL? I've heard that it still will.

All of mine still work on XBL just fine, original disc or a backup copy of those discs. Haven't heard anyone say that it caused any problems.

Really? Is it time to jump in then? I dont really keep up with the scene.

I live in Utah, and as far as I can tell, there is no one around that mods 360's
