I drive a 1992 Toyota 4x4 Pickup with an extended cab. A while back i replaced the 2 front speakers and the Receiver with an old Sony Xplode Reciever and 2 cheapo speakers. Now, there are only 2 speakers in the entire car and when listening everything sounds a bit....flat.
In the back if you are familiar with the car there are 2 fold down seats that fold down on top of 2 cargo compartments. Additionally there are 2 side cargo compartments. I am entertaining the idea of putting 2 speakers back there. However i would like to know how hard this would be?
I have two different ideas:
1. Use a dremel to cut 2 holes in in the front of the bottom storage compartments and get 2 covers for the speakers. Ie: the speakers would be at the feet of the people in the backseat. Im not really comfortable cutting up my car however so theory 2 is:
2. Take the lids off of the 2 side compartments. By elongated speakers and somehow mount them in there so nothing shows behind it. This seems more feasible but not as elegant.
Can anyone give some advice on this matter.
