Modding an ANTEC 1080 Door....HOW?

I was looking at some case mods recently, and discovered that a few people have taken a case like the antec 1080 or similar (I have one), and cut a window into the door. I was curious if anyone knew if there was a kit for this, what materials are used/needed other than a piece of plexiglass, and if there are any other worthwhile mods to do to this case, other than a blowhole on the top. Any help is appreciated.

I put a window on my sonata. There are kits you can buy to do it with or you can just buy some plexiglass if you have a jigsaw or something similar to cut metal with and some rubber stripping. Would post you a pic but have no place to put it up at right now.

Antec sells (or used to) a replacement door for the 10x0 series that has a blow hole and a window. If you have the $ you may just want to buy one.

Need some clarification. By door do you mean the swinging door that covers the drive bays or the side panel?

Yes, I mean the swinging door in the front. I haven't seen a spare door ever available that is the same color as the 1080. Maybe a call to antec will result in one.

I made a couple of these. The trick is forming the plexi to match the curve of the door. I once had a long thread over at hardforum with more info but it looks like it was purged in the last update. I know there are many more pics somewhere I could dig up.
I also made one for a member here named eno, perhaps he has pics of the one I made him if he happens to check in.
You can get a new door from Antec if you dont feel brave enough to cut up your only door.

Here are a couple more. Not of the process, but the finished product.

Edit: fyi, this gallery was set up for the case owner, a handicapped friend I met at a modding forum who lives several states away. It was the second time he'd sent me his box to get worked over. Just if you were wondering what all the comments were about.

That's exactly the links I saw that made me want to find out how to do that mod. For whatever reason, I cannot access twistedmod from my computer. Same thing happens for a few other sites too.
