i have a server case ($25 from compgeeks) that has a large rectangular 3.5" cage that can hold upto seven HDs. i want to divide it into 3 compartments. Can i solder metal plates? or run a metal strip through the scew hloes on each side?

i want to make it easier to install HDs. currently i have a problems swapping/arranging. I am worried about damaging other drives when changing hardware.

Don't solder the metal plates. It's better to weld them.
