i have a 9500pro, and read in anands review that the all the stuff for the memory was writen for a 4x64bit memory bus, but the 9500pro was equiped with a 2x64bit memory bus, thus the 9500pro's memory area isnt quite as optimized as it could be.

i have heard few successes of ppl tryin to mod their 9500pro's, some have worked some haven't. is it really worth it?

awwww nuts!!!!!

but then the 9500 wouldnt be a 9700 at all, coz the 9500 non pro only had 4 pixel pipes. whereas the pro has 8 pixel pipes

you can mod a 9500 pro to a 9700. i've done it and windows recognizes it as a 9700/9700 pro in advanced details and driver details. kinda cool and it also lets you overclock! 9500 pro = beast of an overclocker!

i can get my 9600P to be recognised as a 9800Pro, but their is no difference in the actual game speed of the card. Its still only 4 piplines.. overclocking is where all the speed will come from ;)
