Hey people,

i just finished modding my case,

link here: Pics Here, What do you think?? :D

The only problem is that the Xaser 3 does not have a backlit hardcano like the skulls and damier ones.

any idea if i can stick a LED in there or some other solution?

not my style case, but i'll give you a thumbs up on it looking eyegrabbing, and as mentioned above, what did you do to those ide cables

Is that EL wire in the IDE cables? That case is absolutely beautiful, I couldn't close my mouth after looking at it. I love the Xaser series with a passion, and you just made the case look even better than it normally does. Congratulations on a modding job well done...

Hey dude, I wonder if you can confirm that your lanfire fans are 2 intake and 2 exhaust? Mine seems to be all intake, which made no sense for heat dissipation. I wonder if I had them set up wrong.

and how did you get it to say Pirvys Rig on the front of it? did you order that off a site, or did you do it youself if so, how?

Hey guys thanks for your comments you just made my day :D

- IDE cables are AKASA cables with EL wire inbuild into them. IF anyone does buy this stay away from the AKASA ones since htey have no sheilding and their inverters emit a very high pitched whine which is driving me crazy. I have to look and see if there are any from other brands, TT had if i'm not mistaken.
S-ATA cables are from frozencpu.com and again have the EL wire built in

how to make it say "Pirvy's Rig".

1. Throw away the blue EL thermaltake logo
2. Cut out the metal grilles for the front intake fans (leave the black plastic ones and filters if you like)
3. once you disassemble the front bottom part of the X. there is a plastic holder for the "thermaltake" EL strip. They are 1 clear bit of plexi glass and a black piece of plastic which 'sandwich' the EL strip.
4. go buy a piece of sandblasted plexi glass (wont be clear) and cut it out to the measurements of the black piece of the 'sandwich'. Then go buy any transparency and print out whatever you want to show. Keep in mind that white will com out the colour of the illumination you chose. Ideally use a laser printer since their black will be more opaque than ink (from inkjet printers). If you are using an HP 6122 or later printer, set the ink volume to highest so you throw as much ink on the transparency as possible to block out the light where you dont want it.
5. Replace the front intake fans to whever LED colour you want and these will provide illumination for the strip. If you want you can buy a set of Lazer Led and stick it at the bottom of the perspex poitning up for extra illumination

anyone have any ideas on how i'm going to give light to that bloody hardcano? or even better, anyone with a damier want to sell me theirs? :D

best regards
Kurt
