ModChip for Playstation (the original)

I dont know why, but I finally decided that I want to get one of these and put it into my old PS1, 🙂

Anyways, I'm just wondering... where should I go to find one of these chips for cheap? any good sites?

and secondly, what about those boot discs, how well do they work? Could I just burn a boot disc ISO onto a CD, stick that in, and then stick in a burned game? any ideas?

why not just get a PS2 and a chip for that? would prob be easier to find

Goto ANY swap meet and look for a guy that all he sells is video game he can hook you up. I had my PS1 chipped for $30 about 5 years ago. I use it ALL the time as a NES.
