I bought a copy of DOOM 3 and right now running on a GF4 TI 4400....(not very interesting). I'm looking for a new videocard but can't decide. I know Doom3 runs better on nvidia cards, but ATI card will run better on HL2...I've play the game for maybe about..45 min and I hope HL2 will be better than this.
Now, the big question..which card should I go with if I kinda want the best of both Open GL and D3D...i know either one will suffer some performance if its not running at their "natve" API, but which one will loose less performace? Lets jus assume I can overclock the GT to Ultra speed. Are X800 pro capable of ocing to PE speed or their differences if more than jus clock speed?
