Just bought an Xbox on friday. I plan on buying the 2.3 lite plus with the "pogo pins" that require no soldering. I know how to solder but the 2.3 lite requires you to solder 10 pins. For a few extra bucks I am going solderless.

works the same but they have the tendency to become dis-aligned when you move it.

Just a word of warning with the Team Xecuter mod chips - some of the early production batches with pogo pins may not line up correctly. My 2.2+ Lite didn't and I FRAGged my XBox. It still works off the mod chip BIOS though, just not the stock XBox bios. The vendor was more than happy to return it but Team Xecuter blamed me and the hundreds of other people who got the fvcked up chips for it not working right. It's obvious when a pin is about 1/2 cm from the d0 contact point it's supposed to touch. But it didn't come loose like a lot of people said it did, even after shipping it to North Carolina. (I did however, strip the original plastic with the included chip and had to use a much longer screw to hold it in place)
