mod 5.25" bays into intake fans?

Has anyone ever heard of a way to turn a 5.25" bay into a front intake? I've seen case solutions like the Thermaltake Armor and the Coolermaster Stacker that offer what I'm trying to do. Basically, I have a Lian-Li PC-60 plus that has only one 120mm front intake at the bottom of the case, and I need to get more airflow to to the top. The 120mm is obstructed by 3 harddrives and also a 7800gt at the bottom, so I'm trying to get a direct airflow from the top front over the CPU to the rear exhaust.

Any thoughts? Suggestions?

I've seen a few 5.25" bay harddrive coolers that have 40mm fans, so I was thinking of using one or two of these and just not using the backs or HDs in them. But I was hoping to get more airflow than that.

TIA

<Edit>

I found this fan device. But it looks like it blows downward, or maybe it's an induction fan?

<Edit #2>
Okay, I just called XPER the makers of the above device. It does take in air from the front of the drive bay, but it blows it 90degrees, either up or down. But I may be in luck! Lian-Li makes an accessory that takes up 2 5.25" bays with an 80mm fan on the front. This device looks like it would do the job but I wonder if anyone else has every done something like this. I'd be using the accessory without the HDs.

It used to be more common to see these front intakes. You might try looking at some hard drive coolers where a 3.5" drive goes in the 5" slot and has two 40mm intakes on it.

The real problem though is that the 40mm fans are usually pretty poor quality. Very noisy, very low actual airflow, bearings wear out quickly.

If you are into modding, you might be better off trying to mod in a 80mm case fan (or 92mm if it will fit) into two 5.25" slots with a nice border around it to fill the open space that would be left behind. Assuming you have two slots available.

Wow, finding lots of nice LL accessories. This gives me some ideas:

It's a mesh 5.25" bay cover. I could get a few of these, buy some filter material and mount a 120mm fan behind it. Not quite sure how to suspend the fan though. If anyone can help me I would really appreciate some feedback.

The turbine blower looked great, so I looked up some reviews. Unfortunately, it does the opposite of what I need -- It pulls air out of the case and blows it out of the 5.25" bay. Also, the reviews suggest that it's very loud. I can't believe that there are so many of these type of devices and almost all of them are exhaust fans. This just seems odd to have an exhaust in the front of your case. I might suck it up and pay $30 for the Lian-Li 5.25" drive cage which comes with an 80mm or 120mm intake fan.

You could just use say elastic bands or even some sort of string/lace. This will mean no vibrations are passed throgh to the case aswell, making it even quieter (if your hard disks are cooled, it's worth mounting them with elastic bands/lace definately, there's a how to on silentpcreview i think, basically just make a kind of twisted web to hold each end of the HD, it stops any vibration being magnifide by the case)

There should be various screw holes etc u could use to secure the string/lace to, and use the screw holes on the fan. I might try it, sounds like a good idea. I'm probably going to try and hang my hard disks aswell, see what happens.
