I upgraded 2 identical computers from P4 1.8 to P4 2.8 socket 478.
On these mobos, I need to change the clock speed frequency on the mobo with jumpers from 100 to 133.
The first computer was no problem. The second will not boot up when jumpers are changed to 133 setting.
Both computers I made at the same time, bot have same bios versions. Both chips are the same SL #.
If I run the chip at 100 speed, I only get a 2.1 mhz.
I can swap the chips and the other machine is stll fine, but mine wont accept the jumper settings.
Is this common? Can the jumpers be bad? What else can cuase this?
