Hey guys,
So I've been through a huge ordeal with my graphics card and I don't know what to try next. I built a system last summer that ran great, except for my graphics card kept doing weird things with the fan (turning up to full when the computer was idle, not turning on when the card was getting hot) so I RMA'd the card. Well the new card they sent me has never worked, although I just yesterday tried the card in my friend's system where it appears to work perfectly. My motherboard won't even detect that there's anything in the PCI-e slot. When I boot the system the Dr. Debug on my mobo briefly flashes A2, but I don't know if that's a real error code or just part of the startup procedure.
Here's my system specs:
Galaxy Nvidia GTX 680
ASRock Z77 extreme6
Intel Core i5-3570K Ivy Bridge 3.4GHz
G.SKILL Ares Series 8GB (2 x 4GB)
SeaSonic X Series X650 Gold
So here's the things I've already tried. RMAing the motherboard. Updating the motherboard BIOS. Using a different output from my PSU and using a different cord to provide GPU power. I also just had the PSU tested today and it seems to be working properly.
The Galaxy support people haven't been super helpful. Anything help you guys could offer would be awesome.
