Hi, any difference in performace for a mobo with max RAM of 1GB, and a mobo with max RAM of 512MB?

For example, ASUS TUSL2-C (with 512MB max RAM) and AOpen AX34Pro II with 1GB RAM?

Max RAM makes no difference in performance (assuming that you're
not going to be using any programs that will need that much).

512MB vs 1GB isn't that big of a deal. I'd be more worried about the
chipsets those two boards use.

Then how about if i compare Intel 815 chipset with VIA chipset? For example, ASUS TUSL2-C and AOPEN AX34ProII.

Which one will u go to?

I would personally go for the i815 motherboard because of less problems and better memory throughput. Via will have to prove themselves to me that they can produce the same quality in their chipsets that Intel is generally known for before I buy another board that uses their chipsets.
