i am building my mom a 500 dollar computer, and would like to know what mobo you guys would recommend for a 1800xp. Thx 🙂

I'd try a soltek. We've got one at work, it's new, but it's still running 🙂

You could also try the For Sale forum if you're into that kind of thing....

Asus A7N266-VM would be perfect for your mom. it isn't totally out dated, but it still is affordable ($75) and it features nForce 220-D graphics, and of course Audio and LAN, and would be stable as well. If it needs to be chaper, then I'd say go for ECS K7SEM.

u can get the abit nv7m (nforce) w/ integrated LAN, Audio, and GF 2 MX graphics for $87 at newegg..it's the cheapest nforce board u'll probably find.

NO idea where dude is finding that asus board for 75, but if u can find it for that cheap, stolen or not, go for it.

At newegg🙂 I think you are mistaking the A7N266-VM for the A7N266 or A7N266-E. The VM is a 220-D mATX board with only 2 DIMM slots, but it does use nForce's APU and LAN. However, I do agree that the NV7m is a ebtter board because it uses 420-D and as long as you use 2 DIMM's of equal size and make, the video on the NV7m will be much faster than the A7N266-VM

that nforce 220 board works like a charm,

that nforce 220 board works like a charm
Yeah I know thats why I suggested it, but so does the NV7m, and to me there is ahuge performance diff on the video between 220 and 420 so thats why I would go for the NV7m
