I am looking to get a a AMD XP 2500+ and am looking for a decent mobo that is not gonna cost an arm and a leg. I don't really need all the bells and whistles but would like nforce and dual channel

I am looking to throw a radeon 9600 pro in it if I can find one.

I am also looking for two 512 sticks of pc3200 ram that would run well in the mobo.

Thanks

Well first we must know the stepping to know which wine would best compliment your Barton.... (Whispering in the background) What do you mean he's not eating it? I don't get payed enough for this! Find some amateur neffer for this gig!

Shuttle Motherboard for AMD processors Model AN35N-Ultra Retail

They have it at newegg for $60.

It uses the ultra 400 chipset and WILL do dual channel. Cheap too.

Wow $60 bucks for a Ultra400 and dual channel memory controllers? That's pretty hard to beat and it makes me wonder why they even bothered with a single channel version of the memory controller for the nForce2 chipset. I was going to suggest an Abit NF7 or NF7-S but they start at $100. You should be able to use just about any brand of memory on that board, Corsair, Mushkin, Kingston, OCZ, etc.

What's the downside?
