sup all... I was wondering if is normal for a M3A78-T to have a MB temperature of 128F, my processor is a phenom I 9500 (thinking on getting PII) 4 gigs of ram and radeon 4870x2...

I ask because the board doesnt have any fan.. i was thinking on adding one... to see what happen... but first i dunno if is normal to have this temp here in this board lol!!!!

by the way the radeon and the NB heatsink have some distance, the case have what i think is good ventilation... is on environment temperature the computer... probably around 80 or 90f dunno... i dont have room meter for temp lol!

For those who don't like it when the OP suddenly changes the way he measures temperatures 128° F is about 53° C.
I don't know if it's normal operation or not though.

I was also curious about my M3A78-T when I first put it to use. MB currently running at 43C, CPU(9950BE 125Watt) is at 36C with asus pc probe II. So far everything has been stable with no issues. MB temps max around 50C for me while gaming, but I do live in a cool climate.

The temp is fine, if you were trying to max out the bus and bumped up voltage to do so, then as temp rose a fan would become more and more important but not at 53C.
