Mobo Suggestions for an Intel

Basically, I'm looking at building a new gaming rig with the following:

3.06 Intel HT enabled
Radeon 9700 Pro
1024mb DDR PC2700
Creative Labs Audigy
1 120GB 7200 RPM HD from Western Digital


I was looking at the P4PE, any reason to go with the Granite Bay over the P4PE? Thanks.

Dual Channel DDR & 4.2GB/sec+

To me that doesn't seem like a huge deal right now. The 4.2GB/sec isn't really going to make a difference, to me atleast. The only reason I would even think of going GB over P4PE is the Dual Channel DDR.

Is the Dual Channel DDR that much of an advantage to warrant buying a Granite Bay?

it's alot faster than single channel, but you're limited to a 1:1 memory ratio

So, with the 1:1 memory restriction, is the GB worth buying over the P4PE for my aforementioned system?

yes because even with 1:1 you're still running faster at 133Mhz than a P4PE chipset.
