Mobo suggestions for A64 3000 Venice request

Need a good solid mobo for a A64 3000 Venice. Been thinking of either the Asus A8V, or the MSI K8T NEO2-F.

The board needs to be AGP compatible.

I've never used MSI, but have used several Asus boards and loved everyone of 'em.

Any and all sugestions welcome 🙂

I am just bumping this for you, since I have a A64 Venice 3000 but I have a PCI-e mobo, the Chaintech VNF4 Ultra...

I don't think you could go wrong with either board, as Asus and MSI make really great stuff. Are those both nForce2 mobos? Or nForce4?

I strongly prefer the nForce 3 chipset to the Via K8T800 chipset. I've used two boards of each kind (Asus A8V & Abit AV8 for the Via, MSI K8N Neo 2 & Gigabyte GA-K8NS for the nForce 3), and the nForce 3 boards were more stable. I particularly did not care for the Abit board (major stability issues), and my Asus board died on me for no apparent reason three months after I bought it.

Just my 2 cents. Good luck!
