Mobo Suggestions for 7800GT

looking into getting the BFG 7800GT (http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.asp?Item=N82E16814143042) and was looking for motherboard suggestions. it has to be intel b/c i dont want to have to buy a new processor.

new egg has the evga 7800gt and the mobo combo deal going on right now, but it's only for an AMD mobo.

any motherboard suggestions?

I would highly recommend a new processor. You are currently using an Intel socket 478 and there is only one board out there that supports socket 478 and PCI-E: ASRock P4Dual-915GL Micro ATX Intel Motherboard. However, this is quite the compromise board and Intel has inferior gaming prowess to AMD to begin with. To combine the 7800GT with such a board is like sticking a V8 engine in a Yugo. May sound and look cool but will perform like sh-t.

If you can afford it, since you are buying a new board anyway, go get a new processor and upgrade to AMD socket 939 to properly complement the 7800GT.

Well thats a bit of a problem with a socket 478 chip, there is basicly 1 motherboard that will work...this Asrock.

That's the same video card I have and I went with an MSI Neo4 Platinum SLI board. Works awesome with one or two video cards and setup was cake.
