mobo suggestion for p4 1.6a

hi. i just gave my cousin my P4 1.6a and he's asking me as to what is the best mobo he can use.
is it possible for him to use a i865pe mobo? on what fsb can he use it with if he's going to furnish
it with a twinmos ddr400?

hoping for your reply. thanks in advance.

Yeah... any 865PE board would do wonderfully. You could easily o/c it to 133Mhz FSB. ABIT's IS7 is king.

yup, that's exactly what i'm doing. i got a P4 1.6A on an Abit IS7. the great thing about getting an 865 board over an 845 or the like is that you can up grade to P4C proccessor anytime b/c of the 800fsb support. i was running my 1.6A @2480MHz (155fsb), but i didn't like the temps (i'm only using the stock cooler), so i brought the fsb down to 133MHz. some quality PC2700 shouldn't hold you back using a 400fsb CPU, especially with the appropriate CPU : DRAM ratios. but since PC3200 is the standard today, you might as well get some of that to keep up w/ the times.
