Mobo setting Fx 8120 voltage too high?

Have an fx 8120 with Gigabyte 970 ud3 mobo. When I check the bios, all CPU settings are auto. After several minutes, temp is 34 and I see vcore at 1.42. Are the voltage and temp high? I'm using a hyper 212 Evo cooler. Do I need to turn something off, not trying to overclock.

You can manually lower the voltage a bit, if you're uncomfortable with your temps and / or power draw.

Nothing criminal is seen here otherwise.

I woudlnt lower voltage, might run into stability issues. Most mobo manufacturers make default voltage a bit higher just to ensure stability.
And if your gonna OC you will raise it anyways so....

My second desktop has an FX 8120 in it.

I do think your vcore is a little high but I don't feel comfortable telling you to change it.

Your idle temp isn't bad... you'd really need to place some load on your cpu and see how high your temps get. If you game then play a game.. if you do other things.. well you get the idea.

AMD has some pretty nice utilities you can download if you don't have anything to actively monitor temps. I wasn't sure if you were reading vcore/temp while in bios as you didn't mention a program. AOD AMD Over Drive.. the utility on their website (not the tab in the CCC) has a nice CPU tab to monitor all kinds of things. I often let it run in the background on my FX system because I like to watch the graphs on the core use.
