It takes 2 boots to go, and on the second one the mobo screen is shown upside down.

WTF mate?!

yeah man, I for some reason just think my system is underpowered and as a result is behaving weirdly. its a 3.0 P4 in a ASUS P4C800 Deluxe with 1 gig of ram, AIW X800XT, 3 CD Drives, 3 Hard drives 2 PCI cards.

whatever came in my coolermaster case. I think its a 400Watter. Either that or some generic one that Cyberpowerinc put in.

As per another thread I'm thinking of putting all that stuff into a Sonata with one of those supposedly great Antec True Power 380s

You don't need a new case. Jsut get a nicer, cheap PSU. I liek the Thermaltake 480W.

Well I want a quieter PC as well so it seems that the Antec Sonata could handle both jobs. The TruePower 380 should be enough right?

Hrm either new case or maybe get the NeoPower 480 + quieter case fans. I wonder what I should order. I've been itching to overhaul this blasted computer :)

Sonata seems like a better idea - 380W TruePower + 120mm quiet case fan = win-win

yeah and much more economical...I guess maybe I'll do that. I need to make up my mind and drop the order tomorrow so I have it by the weekend. Do you all really think 380 will be enough for all the crap in my system?

I think I'm going to get that PSU and a TT Soprano case. It just looks so damned cool.

PSU for now I've decided, waiting on the case for later...too many choices to make a decision. I want to see if power really is an issue here before I stick to this computer.

I'd go for the Sonata case; but upgrade to the Antec Neopower 480w. For the future if for nothing else. If you're going to run a newer Vid card with a fan cooling, plus multi HDD's; a 380 just won't cut it. Check out the P5P800 thread, for proof of that.

Thats crazy about the Pic being upside down, sounds like whoever wrote the bios must have been drunk:)

I agree with the others, although the Antec 380 is a nice PS its marginal for your rig. I would get the neo 480. I personally use the Antec 550 true control. My philosophy on power supplies is Overkill is always better than not having enough, and provides room for expansion
