I know this question is about the Z87 chipset, but anyone knows if mobo makers would recall their mobos when Intel has the newer chipset that fixes the sleep/wake-up problem that was reported?

Probably more like the P67 recall?

If they don't recall the Z87 board, I don't think I want to jump the Haswell/Z87 bandwagon until the new boards with the newer chipset are available first.

What do you guys think?
 
Thing is, *hush* *hush* Intel most likely gave the mobo a sizeable discount for this problem, and the manufacturers should have used those savings to fit their designs with a 3rd part USB3 chipset. A fix of sorts.
 
It's just such a slight issue I don't see the point in worrying about it.

Some USB3 sticks will need to reconnected after your computer enters deep sleep.

I very rarely use a USB stick, I very rarely use sleep, and all you have to do to fix it is pull the stick out and put it back in again.
 
It may not play a big role, but to me, knowing that there is no glitch in any of my hardware just gives me a better feeling of peace of mind, that's all.

Your hardware will still have 100s (if not 1000s) of erratas. Its just one more or less.

What matters is the impact.
