mobo ram slots

i just got 2 new ram chips i have a dfi lanparty nf4 there are 4 slots (yellow and orange)

it looks like

ram slot-o x



ram slot -y
ram slot-o


i have my 2 rams inserted where i have xed them above]


however none of my games are working. any suggestions

Try one stick at a time. If one Slot was broken then you'd boot with half the RAM. If one (or both) stick is broken then you won't boot.

Edit: Or you've hit the DFI compatability wall.

What do you mean your games aren't working?

If you had a memory problem, your system just wouldn't boot, or you'd see on bootup during the POST screen that there was only half the memory.

You could of course have a bad module too.

Incidentally, for dual-channel operation, you need one module in each of the yellow slots, not one in orange and one in yellow.
