Need advice.
Abit KT7 + Duron 700@1007.
If PCI modem installed, the mobo & PSU won't start up. The only clue is my SCSI Yamaha 4416S's light indicators light up in orange. I also notice the SCSI card's light is blinking (eventhough the PSU & mobo inactive).
I have tried the modem in other board, and it works fine. I test another the modem in this board, and it starts up without any problem.
This problem happens only with my pci modem. If said "conflict", then how does the system know there is a conflict when the mobo/PSU unit does not even run ???
The problem persists even if I move the PCI modem to different slots.
What could be the problem ? Any advice?
