This should be a rather simple question, its just that I don't have the motherboard in front of me yet because well.... you guys know :)

So I'm waiting for the Gigabyte SLI to come around in stock for a normal price, but everything else (minus my on-order 6800GT) is sitting here. The powersupply just got here today and it is a Enermax EG701AZ-VE(W)SFMA v2.0 (600w noisetaker).

Now onto my question... the PS comes with a 24pin motherboard connector, and all the pictures I've seen if the Giga MB have what looks like a 24pin power plug with 4 pins blocked off by a black cap.

Do I just remove this black cap and put the 24pin power in? or do I use the 24->20pin adapter provided with my PS.

On the power supply there is also this 4pin 12v connector (not the regular molex ones). What do I use this for? it looks like the other 4 pins that maybe could go in that black plugged spot on the MB.

Im just about positive that all nforce 4 boards use the 24 pin connector, the gigabyte one is probably just backwards compatible also, so your PSU should work.

Do not put the 4 pin 12 volt PS connector into the capped off 4 pins of the 24 pin mb connector. There should be a separate connector on the mb for that. The plug and receptacle should be keyed anyways

Yes, you will likely either use a 20-pin adapter with the separate (P4-12V) 4-pin in a separate socket OR the 24-pin - without the separate 4-pin - you will just have to wait and hope that the manual is clear on that. The 24-pin ATX connector has both an extra 12V lead and an extra 5V lead while the extra 4-pin from the PSU has ONLY 2x12V and 2xGround.
