Mobo not recognizing USB

I just got done installing windows xp pro x64 and my mouse and keyboard were working just fine(both connected by USB) then when i installed the abit driver cd the usb stopped recognizing anything. I checked the device manager and USB root hub has a yellow exclamation mark. I tried to update the drivers from the xp cd and the abit cd but to no avail i tried calling tech support from abit but they never fucking pick up. Im all outta ideas please help.

edit:i should say i have the ABIT IP35 PRO
