Mobo - no power

Okay.

Recently, got a spiffy new case and bought an Athlon 64 X2.

I've had a DFI NF4 Ultra for...forever and a day, since the week they were released.

Recently, it's been a bit flaky on and off, but it'd eventuall always work.

So, I put it in the new case, assemble the system, etc., everything is physically perfect.

I go to power on the system.

Nothing.

I dissassemble the system down to the bare necessities.

Nothing.

Thanks to the slide-out mobo try, I double-check everything in it. Make sure there are no shorts, etc.

Nothing appears wrong. The light on the mobo lights up. Even pressing the power button on the mobo and/or shorting the pins on the mobo does nada.

Suggestions?

That, my friend, was exactly spot on.

But I have some cheap-o Generic 350w 20-pin + 4 PSU working on it.

My Antec Neopower 480W shouldn't be dead, should it?

What should I look for? What could be wrong with the Antec?

Could be anything. I'm not one to take apart a power supply to try to fix it, I just get a new one.

See if you can get a replacement on the Antec.

Yeah, already put in an order for a 600W OCZ jobbie.

50% off deals on Newegg ftw 😉.

But I'd really prefer to get this system working NOW if possible. Any ideas at all that I may be overlooking that don't involve opening up the PSU?
