I just finished putting together my rig:
Abit KG7 Raid
AMD Athlon 1600 XP
ATI Radeon 64
768/Crucial PC2100 DDR
Western Digital 7200 HD
Pioneer 16X DVD
Plextor 12X10X32 CDRW
I have all this hooked up,pressed the power button, all the fans start but will not post. All I get on the monitor is "check video signal".I shut down, pulled the video card out, then reinstalled it,and still same message.I tried the video card in another machine, and it's good.Any ideas?

Also I have the HD hooked up to IDE3.I dont know if this has anything to do with it.

Funny, but tried to help my friend build a computer, that has almost the exact same configuration as yours. We had the same problem. I'm not sure if it's the Abit KG7 board and Athlon XP's, but I've also read on the forums that other people have the same problems. The first thing that I would ask is how many watts is your power supply? I swapped power supplys, and I at least got it to start a few times. However, there were a couple of times where the computer would freeze at the RAM count. What I would do is to take out everything and start with the bare minimum (i.e. RAM, hard drive, cd-rom drive). I took the computer back to the shop where I bought it from, and the guy fiddled around inside, pulled some jumpers and somehow got it to work. But once we got the computer back, the computer freezes all the time...and it's still not working yet. One guy at the shop said that it was his copy of Windows that wasn't working, but that's full of crap. Well, good luck on your problem. Have you tried e-mailing Abit technical support?

I am using a 350W Enermax PS.This board is jumperless. The only jumper I see is the CMOS jumper,I cleared that and started over, but to no avail.I am not even getting a beep when I power up.I am getting a little pissed off.

OK.Now what I have when I power up is one long beep.and two short beeps which means no video card detected.I removed my AGP card and threw in an old PCI card I had but I still get the same error beep code.Could this board be shot?
