Mobo Locks

I have a dfi nf3 lanparty ut board with an athlon 64 3700+ (s754), and I also have 3 sata hard drives. IIRC, only two of the 4 sata ports on the mobo are locked, which is pretty limiting in terms of OCing. Aside from ditching one of my drives, are there any sort of workarounds to this? Or is getting a pci sata controller card probably my best bet?
 
A PCI Sata controller is probably your best bet if only two of the ports are locked. You might want to double-check that in the motherboard forum, but I'm not finding any definitive answers doing quick Google searches.
