I may have what you're looking for, if my new mobo arrives anytime. I'm sure you can find something in FS/FT forums.

I'm selling a biostar nf4st -a9 skt 939 for $40 and an A64 3700+ san diego for $40 if you want the pair for cheap/quick upgrade. The mobo has an xgp port as well as pci-e.

"Google"... What's that, sounds like some sort of new-fangled Stabucks offering?
There's only one way to find a new MB. That's to get in your car and drive to the closest PC shop, park the car, go inside and ask.
If they don't have one, drive to the next closest PC shop...
Etc, etc, etc...

Hi all, just to update, i found a K8N 754 board, but the guy was selling it at US 70 which is way too pricey for something that outdated.

So I gave in and got myself a 2.8ghz duo core processor and this for only 130 bucks.

I would have gotten a PCIE board with DDR2 support if I had extra cash, but thought it was a hassle having to get new ram and a new PCIE card gfx card.

People spend big dollars every day for older hardware. "Value" is in the eye of the beholder.

By the way, pentium D and core 2 duo are both different lines correct? What are the difference between the two?

I saw that the E4300 (C2D) clocks at 1.8ghz, while my pentium D clocks at 2.8ghz. Why is that since the E4300 is the later version and presumably better.

I do not know anything about the latest CPU developments, anyone care to enlighten me?

The Pentium D is their original line of Dual Core s775 chips. The Core2 Duo is the new line, which also includes that E4300. Clock speed is not everything, you should've have learned that using AMD products :)

I see! Yup, I realised that. I am thinking about trying Intel processors since I have been exclusively using AMD stuff to see which I like better.

If you plan on OCing, go with an E4300. It's the best bang for the buck and won't drop much in price July 22nd.

The 820 is the worst of the 2.8 Pentium D's with the 915 being the best.
820 = Smithfield core (2 Prescott cores)
915 = Presler core (2 Cedar Mill cores / stepping D)
920 = Presler core (2 Cedar Mill cores / maybe stepping D or maybe earlier)
"D" stepping is rated to run cooler than the earlier 9xx steppings.
