Mobo issue?

Hi all,
Im having a problem with my Asus P5WD2 Premium mobo, i wanna use it for a server build. all seem to work right, like the CPU fan and the VGA card.
When i turn the pc on, all the fan lights turn up but i cant see anything on the monitor. I've taken the VGA card off ( a ATI 850x 256mb) the card works as its on another mobo right now.
The CPU works as well but for some reason the mobo doesnt work with all this.

I remember that this mobo worked in the past but i packed it away some time back as i upgraded my mobo.

Can someone help resolve this for me.
