MOBO help

have a new ASUS motherboard with 4 DSW jumpers that set front side bus. BIOS displays fsb at 100 no matter what switches are set to. need it set to 166. chip is running way slower than it should as a result of the low fsb. Can't alter fsb in BIOS like other ASUS I have used. Tried BIOS flash/update already. Wondering it could involve any of the other parts in the comp: RAM, AGP card... Any help appreciated. Thanks.

this guy has same problem:

this is NOT a highly techincal question
its a tech support or mobo issue; please dont post tech support questions here as per the post at the top of this forum 😉

as for your question, id unplug the power and try taking the battery out for a minute, then putting it back and powering up again. mobos are odd sometimes
