while the board will probably not be a bottleneck i would think whatever older CPU you are running in that board could be an issue.

I already asked WHAT RESOLUTION you will be playing at so please list that. but yes your cpu at stock would hold back a gtx570. also that psu does not look all that great for a gtx570 card but could you list the exact model?

its still silly. lol, that would be like me using my gtx260 at an insanely low res like 1024x768. you do not need to blow over 300 bucks on a new gpu for 1440x900. your gtx275 is plenty fast for that low resolution.

why do you have to spend 400 bucks right now? cant you save it or did someone give you 24hrs to spend it or lose it? lol

bottom line is that if you are happy with your monitor then there is no need to spend money on a new gpu or cpu. they are both fine for your current setup.

i agree with toyota, for that low res your current setup is fine.

Which brings me to the next question why do you want to upgrade? what games/apps are giving you issues?

Your CPU & GPU are well matched... Your monitor, however, is ten years old.

BTW, your forum name translates as a Hindu philosophy, which is indeed compatible with "The Witcher, Part-II".

And a combined +12V output of 30A, or 360W. That power supply will crumble given its age (no longer made) and quality (not very good.)

Oh my. This thread just reminded me.
I will have a PC with i3 2120 and GTX 560Ti (OCd) in just a few days. But my max resolution is... 1280x1024. I guess that's a waste of a good GPU.

As for the thread started, I think all that can be recommended to you is to buy a new display, new motherboard and new CPU. You said you can spend 400$. Well if you sell your old display, mobo and cpu and add 400$ you have, you will certainly be able to upgrade your PC quite well. I'd aim at a H61 motherboard (~100$) i5 2500 (~200$?) and a ~1600x1000 display (~250$?)

I would have no interest in gaming if I had to use 1280x1024. you are literally missing out on 1/3 of the field of view since modern games are made with widescreen in mind. and a gtx560 Ti for 1280x1024 is a bit silly but at least your cpu is not terrible so you will get most of it performance.
