I recently was given an asus barebones that has some bulging caps.

The friend that give this to me said his client had power issues at his house and that this computer and some other househould electronics were damaged.

It looks like it will be fairly easy to have someone at my workplace remove and replace all the motherboard caps.

My question is; if the motherboard was damaged is the psu definitely damaged as well?

I opened up the psu and at least visually everything looks fine. On a side note; for a 300watt psu it really feels substantial. Now I'm curious as to who makes them for Asus.
