ok, i have everything almost lined up for a gaming pc. is this a good setup?

Asus A8N-SLI NVIDIA Socket 939 ATX
AMD Athlon 64 4000+ San Diego Core 2ghzfsb/1mbcache
Mushkin Green Line 1GB (2x512mb) dual channel pc3200ddrsdram
eVGA GeForce 6600 GT A30 256MB DDR3



 
If possible, you should really look at a 6800GT or 7800GT, preferably the 78. (under $300 after MIR @ newegg)
6600GT will play most games at max settings ~1024x768

everything else looks good
 
i have a budget, but could i use this mobo:
DFI NF4 DAGF NVIDIA Socket 939 ATX
no sli, but its got 1 pci e slot.
eVGA GeForce 6800 GT 512MB DDR3
 
what are your intensions of this pc? what games/settings you play at? whats your budget? are those the only things you need or do you still need the psu/monitor/etc? answer some of these so we can help you out because this system can be fixed to save you some exceptional amount of money without taking a performance hit.
