I ended up with the P5E-VM HDMI. Was thinking of the DS4 but read quite a few stories of endless reboot cycles and said "forget it". Had two trusted buddies recommend the HDMI so I went with that - so far everything is great. Back to a stable 3.2 and I plan on keeping it here for the time being. Only thing that sucked was my 3870X2 makes the PCI slot basically just about inaccessible and it covers up 4 of the 6 SATA slots, forcing me to use 2 angled and 2 normal cables (which was a REALLY tight fit, I had to bend the angled sata adapters slightly; thankfully it's pliable plastic).
I was looking at the Blood Iron too but unfortunately I couldn't find any in stock close to me, heard good things about that too!
The fan connectors on the VM HDMI are horrible too...but ah well, guess I can't have everything. Damn Maximus Formula...now I just gotta find the receipt for that :|
