Mobo for P4 2.5GHz 478

Hi,

I am really confused about which motherboard to go for to use my P4 2.5GHz 478 processor.

I was originally going to buy the P4GD1 by Asus but now that is discontinued.

Can anyone recommend a board that supports dual-DDR 533 preferably Asus?

Thanks.

You mean a board that supports at least Dual Channel DDR 266... How much money do you want to spend?

Asus P4S800D-X - $ 62.00 A basic Socket 478 mobo for a low price... Supports Hyper-Threading, Dual Channel DDR 400, SATA, AGP 8x...
Asus P4P800SE - $ 93.50 Based on the i865PE chipset, this one's very good and has more features (e.g. Gigabit LAN), but it costs over $ 30 more as well...
GigaByte GA-8IPE1000G - $ 74.99 Nearly the same featureset (missing S/PDIF Out and the Asus Wi-Fi connector, but has 7.1 sound instead of 5.1...) like the one above, but is some 20 bucks cheaper...

Pick one depending on the features you want, they are very good, all three of them...

I think DDR 400 will only operate at the same bus frequency (533MHz)?

I am looking to spend approximately £65.

Ow, you're British, my mistake... Well, with a 533MHz FSB, Dual Channel DDR 266 provides the same bandwidth...

EDIT: Don't know of any good online shops in Britain... But if you can find a mobo with the i865PE chipset, that will be ok...
